Keeping your jewelry beautiful
Know your Diamonds

Please note: The method you use to clean jewelry should protect its weakest element. If your ring includes other gem stones or pearls, use a cleaning method that is suitable for the less durable stones.

To keep your jewelry sparkling...Keep it clean.

Diamonds

Hand lotions, soaps and everyday grime leave film on your diamond jewelry. Soak your diamond jewelry in a warm solution of mild liquid detergent and water or jewelry cleaner. Swish the jewelry around in the solution, and then rinse it thoroughly in warm water. Make sure you close your drain before rinsing. Dry with a lint free cloth.

DO NOT use bleach or other harsh, abrasive chemicals. Many such chemicals will erode or discolor metal.

DO NOT remove the diamond from the jewelry for cleaning. Any modification to the jewelry should be attempted only by a qualified professional. It is best to bring antiques to a professional jeweler.

Colored Stones

DO NOT put any colored stones in an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.  Never put a heat sensitive gem in a hot solution.

Maintaining Your Pearls

·  Always take your pearls off when applying cosmetics, hair spray, and perfume.
·  Do not handle or wear your pearls if you havejust applied oil or creams to your hands or neck.
·  Never soak, submerge, steam-clean, or use an ultrasonic cleaner on your pearls.
·  Never use or expose pearls with detergents, bleaches,  powdered cleansers,  baking soda,  or ammonia-based cleaners.

 Pearl Cleaners
Only use jewelry cleaners labeled as safe for pearls.
