The 4 C's Cut, Clarity, Color, Carat Weight
Cut: Diamond's proportions, quality of finish shape and faceting. A well cut diamond captures its light to release its fire and sparkle. Cut Ideal , Very Good , Good , Fair , Poor
Clarity: The diamond's clarity characteristics, known as inclusions, identify the uniquness of the diamond. The 5 factors are size, number, position, nature, relief. A flawless diamond is considered most valuable.
Color: Diamonds range from colorless to light yellow. This is called the D-Z range. Colorless diamonds D, E, F are considered the most valuable.
Carat Weight: The weight of diamonds is expressed in metric carats. Each carat is equal to 100 points.
Certified Stones: The GIA set the standard for diamond grading and gemological identification, and their grading system serves as the international gem and jewelry industry's benchmark credentials.

A Diamond Grading Report documents the specific characteristics of a diamond. These reports are issued by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), which is among the most respected organizations in the diamond industry.
